Lectors proclaim the readings from the Old and New Testaments at Mass.

Potential lectors should have certain natural gifts such as strong and clear voices and have confidence, maturity, and sensitivity to not only reach the ears of the people, but their hearts and minds as well.

Through study and prayer, the lector develops an understanding of the Word of God and its importance in our celebration of faith.

Regular lectors are grouped in teams of two, with each team scheduled at a weekend Mass once every four weeks or be one of our replacements.
